Norfolk has over 600 historic church buildings, more per acre and per person than anywhere in the world.
Many of these churches are open to visitors throughout the year.

Open Churches Week takes place between 6 - 13 August 2011 and starts with a Classic Car Rally from the Cathedral via a number of magnificent churches in the Loddon area.
The Church of England recognises the importance of these wonderful buildings to Norfolk's tourism and is pursuing a number of initiatives to make them more accessible to tourists, pilgrims and local people.
Not only are these buildings of national importance and of great historical interest in the history of Norfolk, but many are active places of worship. Why not also visit for a Sunday service and meet church members?
