Mothers' Union

In the Diocese of Norwich there are over 60 branches and 1000 members, many of whom volunteer in their parishes and beyond. "Pram services" and parent and toddler groups operate from Kings Lynn to Pakefield.  Community cafes are run bringing company and support with tea and cakes.

Knitting projects reach out to the three hospitals across the county and in partnership with the Prison Fellowship we have started to run the Angel Tree project in a local prison, enabling children of prisoners to receive Christmas gifts from their father.

Loving for Life is a relationship course offered alongside the existing support provided by clergy to couples preparing for their wedding.  Mothers' Union members have been trained as facilitators to run this course, please contact our Loving for Life Co-ordinator if you are interested in find out more, or click here.

Members also hold many fundraising events to support Mothers' Union development work with families overseas and to provide "Away From It All" holidays for disadvantaged families in the UK.  Last year 24 holidays were provided for local families at Caister, referred by Clergy, Health Visitors and Social Workers.  Alongside this is a vibrant prayer and worship calendar of events and social policy campaigning at a national and international level.
