Bishop on Fire and Water
The Bishop of Norwich, the Rt Revd Graham James, will move from water to fire this Sunday (04 May) as he takes part in two special services at each end of his Diocese.

On Sunday morning he will travel to Sea Palling for a special service at St Margaret’s Church (10.30am) to dedicate the Palling Volunteer Rescue Service’s new inshore lifeboat, “Lion’s Roar”, so named to recognize the continuing support of one of PVRS’ major benefactors, the Hoveton and Wroxham Lions’ Club. Following the service, the Bishop will dedicate the lifeboat which will then be towed down to the lifeboat shed where a celebratory lunch will be held. On Sunday afternoon the Bishop will travel to Holt for a Civic Service at St Andrew’s Church (3pm) to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Great Fire of Holt, which devastated the town in 1708. The service will be followed by a procession to Shire Hall Plain where a commemorative board will be unveiled.
