Bishop appointed to House of Lords' Select Committee on Communications

Posted on Tuesday 19 July 2011
The Bishop of Norwich has been made a member of the House of Lords' Select Committee on Communications.

The Committee, under the chairmanship of Lord Inglewood, considers matters relating to the media and creative industries, such as the governance and regulation of the BBC and the regulation of television advertising.

His appointment to the Committee follows his appointment by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York as lead spokesman on media issues for the Church of England, a role he will take up later this year, in addition to his Diocesan duties.
