Four new Deacons ordained

The Bishop of Norwich has ordained four new deacons in Norwich Cathedral.

They are:-

STEPHEN ANDREWS (54) who will serve in the Great Yarmouth Team Ministry. Stephen was born in Norwich and educated at Martham Secondary Modern. For the past ten years he has worked as an Industrial Chaplain where he ministers to staff and the public in a number of venues in Great Yarmouth including Asda Walmart, NORSE and Camplings Linen Services. His hobbies include social networking and driving, and he is a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists. 

HELEN GARRARD (46) who will serve in Ranworth with Panxworth, South Walsham and Upton and Woodbastwick. After ordination she will continue her work as a Macmillan nurse. Helen is married to Nick, who is the Vicar of the parishes in which she will minister, and they have four daughters. 

MAGGIE SWAYZE (62) who will serve in Diss. Maggie has worked as the Parish Secretary at Diss and is married to Neil. They have two daughters. 

PAUL WILKINSON (48) who will serve at the Fountain of Life in Ashill. Paul works for a multi-national fire systems company as a quality, environment, health and safety manager. He has also spent time undertaking voluntary work in the Gambia. He is married to Colette and they have two daughters.
