National appeal for Zimbabwe
The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have this week launched a national appeal for Zimbabwe.

This is in response to a statement from the meeting of the Primates of the Anglican Communion earlier this month, who called for a fresh effort across the Communion to raise funds to help the Anglican dioceses in Zimbabwe to address the mounting humanitarian crisis in their communities.

Donations will begin to be collected by USPG: Anglicans in World Mission on behalf of the Anglican Communion Office. The funds will then be sent on to the five dioceses of Zimbabwe to enable them to deliver their emerging strategic plans for using the funds to address the humanitarian needs in their dioceses.

Visit http://www.norwich.anglican.org/world/lent/others.shtml to download copies of a leaflet and poster giving details of the appeal and how to donate to it, together with a copy of a letter already sent by the Archbishops to all Diocesan Bishops, for your information.

With many thanks in advance for your support with this appeal.
