Parish websites - A Church Near You update
Many churches and benefices have their own independent websites while others use the A Church Near You system to create their own. All are listed on the Diocesan website and all have a page on the A Church Near You website.

What is A Church Near You?
Every church in the Church of England has a web page or pages on A Church Near You.  This is a national website allowing anyone to find a church, with every church's pages self-administered by a church member.

How has it changed?
The national website has recently been revamped in look and feel and so when you now view your church pages they will look similar to the Church of England website.  Take a look at www.taverham.churchnorfolk.com for example.

How do I…?
We've written some new instructions for using and updating your church's pages, looking at everything from how to register with the site, edit basic information or add your own pages.  These can now be found at www.norwich.anglican.org/communications/parishwebsites.shtml

Church Norfolk / Church Suffolk web addresses
As a Diocese we also give every church a unique web address at no cost. These take the form of www.location.churchnorfolk.com or www.location.churchsuffolk.com, and when visited display the church’s A Church Near You pages.  This web address can be written everywhere: in parish magazines, in your notice sheet, in the footer of your e-mails, etc.  If your church doesn't already have one simply send an e-mail to Gordon Darley and we will create one.

Does the Diocese link to your site?
The Diocesan website receives thousands of visits every week and our Find a Church facility is very well used.  Do take a quick visit to check that we are linking to your church's website so visitors can find out more about your church(es).  www.norwich.anglican.org/church
