Vocations Sunday - 3 May

Posted on Thursday 30 April 2009
A reminder that, as every year, Vocations Sunday is the 4th Sunday of Easter and falls this coming weekend.

If you are looking for a vocation sermon outline for Sunday they can be found at: http://www.cofe.anglican.org/lifeevents/ministry/workofmindiv/vrsc/vocsun/sermon_talk_outlines/

Alternatively there are suitable liturgical texts such as prefaces, intercessions and so on at: http://www.cofe.anglican.org/lifeevents/ministry/workofmindiv/vrsc/vocsun/worshipresources2009/alternativeliturgicaltexts/

Vocations Sunday is an annual remind of the importance of vocation for such as clergy in our own ministry, but also to foster vocation in the lives of others. If there is someone within your own congregation whom you believe may have a vocation to an authorised or recognised ministry (such as stipendiary priest, NSM or OLM priest or as a Reader), then we have a team of Vocation Advisers in the Diocese who can meet with potential candidates to help them to work through and clarify their vocation. The work of the advisers is explained at:http://www.norwich.anglican.org/training/vocations/advisors.shtml and a list can of their contact details at: http://www.norwich.anglican.org/training/vocations/contact.shtml

If you would ever value help or advice about potential candidates in your benefice, do please feel free to get in touch.
