Palm Sunday Donkey a first at South Walsham
The churches of the Broadside Benefice (Ranworth, South Walsham, Woodbastwick and Upton) and the children of Fairhaven Church of England Primary School are to celebrate Palm Sunday this year with the aid of a donkey called Eve.

It will be the first time that a real donkey has taken part in the Palm Sunday Procession in South Walsham. The procession will begin at Fairhaven Garden Centre Car Park on School Road in South Walsham at 10.45am and Eve will lead the churchgoers and the school children, together with anyone who would like to join the procession, to St Mary’s Church in South Walsham for a family service at 11am. "This is a first for South Walsham," said the Rector, the Revd Nick Garrard. "We're hoping that Eve will continue the procession around the church as we remember together how Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey that first Palm Sunday. It will be a memorable way of beginning our Holy Week services." ENDS The Revd Nick Garrard 01603 270769
