Norfolk Church finalist in national competition
St Margaret's Church, Thorpe Market, has been shortlisted as one of six finalists for the Village Church for Village Life Award, being run by Country Life magazine.
The competition is to find the best example of a rural parish church in England that has adapted to serve the wider needs of the local community.
St Peter's, Whatcote, Warwickshire, St Margaret's, Thorpe Market, Norfolk, St Mary's, Slaugham, West Sussex, St Peter's, Worfield, Shropshire, St Philip and St James, Norton St Philip, Somerset and St Faith, Hexton, Hertfordshire, were selected as finalists from over eighty entries.
The churches will be visited by a panel of judges in June, and the winner of the £10,000 prize will be announced in the autumn.
