Incumbent in the Bure Valley Benefice

Posted on Wednesday 27 January 2010
Do you have a heart for mission and collaborative ministry in a rural setting? If so, you could be the new incumbent for this benefice of 5 parishes centred on Buxton, plus a mission initiative on a former RAF base.

The benefice (Popln c.2,500; ER 104) is near the market-town of Aylsham.

The new incumbent will lead a team of Associate Priest (serving the mission initiative), two recently ordained OLMs, a Reader in training, active retired clergy and enthusiastic lay people. The Bishop and Patrons seek a priest who:

  • is committed to collaborative styles of ministry;
  • will continue to develop the new mission initiative at Badersfield (ex-RAF Coltishall);
  • values fresh and traditional expressions of worship and mission;
  • gives priority to pastoral ministry for the whole community;
  • is at ease with all age groups.

Informal enquiries welcomed by the Bishop of Lynn and Archdeacon of Lynn - their contact details are available at: http://www.norwich.anglican.org/about/people.shtml
