THE WEDDINGS PROJECT on Tuesday 23rd February is now at St Luke's Church, Aylsham Road, Norwich. MORE PLACES AVAILABLE
Last October a clergy mailing was sent out inviting clergy to a day to study focused on our ministry to those getting married. In late January a first session in Norwich Diocese with the Weddings Project team was well received by the clergy who attended. As a result, and due to increased demand, a decision has been taken to move the event from Bishop's House to St Luke's Church, Aylsham Road to allow more clergy to attend. Therefore more places are available.
I strongly encourage you to think about coming if you are able to. To learn more about the work of the Weddings Project following the first event in Norwich, please follow this link:

The Weddings Project has three general aims:
The Project has conducted extensive research, polling the general population and working intensively with over 410 couples and over 170 clergy in the Bradford and Oxford dioceses.
This revealed that the vast majority of couples rated their church wedding highly, and central to this was the welcome and warmth of their marrying priest. But having felt positive towards their Church at the time, many hadn't sustained the sort of connection they were open to after their wedding.
In the light of their initial research the Project team has developed online and paper resources to back up what may be agreed as established good practice. All this and more will be shared with you on the day.
The date is Tuesday 23rd February 2010 at St Luke's. Aylsham Rd, Norwich, from 10am to 4.30pm. There is no charge and lunch will be provided. To book places please contact Simon Ward, the Bishop's Chaplain: bishopschaplain@bishopofnorwich.org 01603 614172.
Cut off date 17th February.
