Resource Centre on the move

Posted on Tuesday 18 January 2011
The Youth and Children's Office and Resource Centre, currently based at the Horstead Centre, will be moving to Diocesan House, Easton at the end of January.

The Youth & Children's Resource Centre of the Diocese of Norwich has been based at the Horstead Centre for several years, but it's now on the move.  At the end of January, both the resource centre and office will be moving to Diocesan House, Easton.

The move will provide a ‘new look' Resource Centre with extra space to better demonstrate and display the books, games, craft, music and family worship resources, as well as improved office facilities.  Being based just off the A47 and the southern by-pass will make the resources much more accessible for the whole Diocese.

The Resource Centre will be closed for a week over the time of the move, however returns may be made at either the Horstead Centre or  Diocesan House during the closure.  The Loddon Resource Centre is unaffected by the move and will be open as usual for borrowing and returns.

Tricia and Liz will be available throughout the move and can be contacted on 01603 266316 or tricia.elson@norwich.anglican.org

The Horstead Centre itself is undergoing some substantial refurbishment with an extension to the dining room and a new adventure activity being installed in the garden.  There are exciting plans to utilise the old Resource Room to allow centre to offer more adventure activities to day visitors, so check www.horsteadcentre.org.uk and the Horstead Centre Facebook page for more details.  The new season starts properly this weekend with a residential for young people who have clergy parents and on February 12th there is a holiday club training day for children's leaders.

It's an exciting time of growth in the Diocese and it's work with children, young people and families!
