Furnishings

The Bishop's Furnishing Officer is responsible for providing all possible help and advice to Incumbents, Priests-in-Charge and Churchwardens throughout the Diocese on their church furnishings, and for the care and redeployment of furnishings from redundant churches.

Inventory

The church inventory
  • is a list of all articles and terrier of all lands belonging to the Church, as required by law
  • is the responsibility of the churchwardens to keep up to date, including items on loan to or from the church, or lodged for safety elsewhere
  • can be written up on a Terrier Form (below), to whom a copy should be sent and any additions or losses communicated
  • should be produced by the churchwardens at the meeting of the PCC immediately prior to the annual parochial church meeting, with a signed statement that the contents are complete.
