Saturday 23 May 2009 - Monday 25 May 2009

Events to take place in 24 churches across the county from 23rd to 25th May 2009.
Art Alive links churches and arts and crafts of all kinds from stone and wood carving to visual animation, story telling and poetry writing. All the churches involved have a particular link with an art or craft.Art Alive demonstrates that the crafts used in the buildings are important today.

The week-end of events this year will have as their main themes:
1. Animals in churches
2. The Paston Letters
3. Medieval craft guilds and workshops in Norwich
4. Coastal Churches

There will be all kinds of events and exhibitions over the week-end, including church trails. This is a time to get out of cars and to take advantage of travel on footpaths, cycle trails and by boat. There will be lots for the family, especially children in designated churches. Information will be available on the Diocesan Web Site and in leaflets in early March.
