These holidays are based at the Horstead Centre, the residential activity centre for Norwich Diocese, situated on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. Housed in a large Georgian Rectory with a walled garden, the Centre provides comfortable dormitory bedrooms, two lounges, a games room and some special needs features. Land-based activities are on site, water based activities are nearby. Sailing is in keelboats.

The daily programme for Coots 1, 2 and 2.5 consists of half a day sailing and half a day on outdoor activities (including archery, canoeing, kayaking, ropes courses, climbing). Coots 2 and 2.5 follow the RYA Young Sailors' Scheme;

The daily programme for Coots 3 consists of a full day's sailing and outdoor activities in the evening. Sailing theory supports your new sailing skills and follows the RYA National Sailing Scheme.

Coots Afloat is for 18-25 yr olds
For young people wishing to re-charge their batteries before going back to school, college or university. Live on board the boats, sailing during the day, taking responsibility for cooking and other tasks. Take time out to enjoy things differently and look at the bigger picture.
