Walking the Way
Walk and Worship at St Benet's Abbey for Children & Families

Sunday 3 August
The walk starts at approx 1.30pm (to be finalised); the service starts at 3pm. at near Ludham on the Norfolk Broads
A guided walk for families, and children group's with leaders, to the ruins of St Benet's Abbey by the lovely River Bure. Take part in the annual service of worship at the Cross on the site of the High Altar. Bring a picnic.

Everyone is welcome to this open-air Service.

The guided walk will start at approx 1.30pm and will be led by Revd Richard Woodham and Margaret Woodham.  The exact time and starting point of the walk is to be finalised.

The service starts at 3pm and will be led by Bishop Peter Fox.

This is a lovely area for a summer afternoon of physical and spiritual refreshment for all ages.  The Ruins of St Benet's Abbey are situated alongside the River Bure on the northern Norfolk Broads; you may wish to bring a picnic for after the service.

Whilst you do not need to book for the service, returning the booking form will help us make suitable arrangements for both walkers and worshippers.


Please come in suitable footwear for walking on grass paths, and bring something to sit on.



Safety Note:
The ruins are by a busy river and have open access to the public; children are the responsibility of parents or adults in the group and must be supervised at all times.
