Day Course for Lay People in Leading Worship
Saturday 1 March
9.30 am - 4.00 pm at St Lawrence's Church, South WalshamA day course put on by the Diocesan Liturgical Committee to supplement training already being provided in the parish with the aim of providing competence and commonality across the diocese.
Sometimes our churchwardens or senior lay people find themselves thrust into the limelight and having to lead an act of worship. This is especially true in multi-parish benefices, where, in the absence of a priest or a licensed Reader, a service will not happen unless some steps in. This course is designed to help.
The day will be in two parts with workshops in the morning and then more in depth discussion of various topics in the afternoon. It is hoped that participants will stay for the whole day. Leaflet/Poster
