This is a well established and popular holiday for young people.  

About Cormorants:
Young people live and eat aboard the 10 yachts, which are supported by a motor cruiser acting as a base and supply vessel.  You don't have to know how to sail beforehand, as each boat is skippered, but it's a good way of learning the basic ropes! Take note though.... Cormorants Holiday is a sailing experience not a sail training course!  Each yacht tows a sailing or rowing dinghy which the crew can take out, if conditions are right, without a leader on board.

Days will be spent cruising and enjoying water-based activities, most evenings the yachts pair off and the crews join up to explore Christian faith very informally.  Some evenings are spent in local halls having a fun time all together.  You don't have to be a church-goer to come on the holiday, but some will be.

The Leadership Team
Many of the skippers were once beginners and campers with Cormorants and have made sailing a lifetime interest.  They are qualified and enthusiastic!  Revd Charles Hall, Cormorants Commodore, has 25 years experience leading young people's cruises; he was formerly Team Rector of Thetford.

The Cost:
The cost, £185, is all-inclusive for the week; travel to and from the holiday base is not included.  Small bursaries can be offered in situations of difficulty (see booking form).

Safety:
Safety procedures are in place.  One of the leaders is a qualified doctor, and acts as the Holiday Medical Officer; all leaders have First Aid training.  All leaders are CRB checked in accordance with guidelines issued by the Diocese of Norwich.  Full Public Liability and Employer's Liability Insurance is in place.  Parents/Guardians requiring additional cover, are recommended to make their own arrangements.
