Storytellers: hear the local legend of the Babes in the Wood, and other traditional tales. Church brasses: talk by expert Martin Stuchfield at 2pm, followed by a chance to have a go at brass-rubbing for yourself...

Storytellers: hear the local legend of the Babes in the Wood, and other traditional tales. Church brasses: talk by expert Martin Stuchfield at 2pm, followed by a chance to have a go at brass-rubbing for yourself.


Sunday 4th May (1pm – 4pm):

Local history: Tony Brook’s with his ever-popular projection show of old photographs of Merton and Thompson. Brass-rubbing: let the children have a go, or do a rubbing for yourself.


Bank Holiday Monday 5th May (10am – 4pm):

Storytellers: the Babes in the Wood and more! Historical Re-enactment: life in the Seventeenth Century – meet the doctor and the “Cunning Woman” with her herbal remedies. Brass-rubbing: have a go.


Refreshments will be available.
