We advise and support all church schools in the recruitment of your new headteacher. If you need advice prior to any formal resignation we are happy to help. Normally the Chair of Governors should be notified in writing of the resignation of the headteacher and this will start off the process.

Voluntary Aided (VA) schools

Please inform us of the need to recruit a new headteacher. The Diocese will normally provide the Lead Adviser with a Local Authority adviser supporting. Please contact Lesley or Louise.

Voluntary Controlled (VC) schools

Please inform us of the need to recruit a new headteacher. The Local Authority will normally provide the Lead Adviser with a Diocesan adviser supporting. Your contact at the Local Authority in the first instance is Carol Burgess on 01603

Foundation Schools

Please inform us of the need to recruit a new headteacher. The Local Authority normally provides the Lead Adviser, although sometimes the Diocese is requested to do so. Please contact Lesley or Louise.
