There are a wide variety of external funding sources that can be used to support the churches work and ministry.
Although some of these are specifically set up to support and further Christian mission, many are from secular sources who share our objectives with respect to looking after important heritage assets and improving and enriching peoples lives.
Many funding sources are oversubscribed and success will often
depend on the quality of the application you send. Time spent in
researching suitable funders and preparing a good application will
always be worthwhile.
Although Diocesan staff cannot write applications on your behalf, the
Diocesan Funding and Partnerships Officer is able to advise on which
sources of funding may be best suited to your project. Diocesan staff
are also happy to look over completed applications prior to them being
submitted.
A large number of Funding Guides can be found at www.parishresources.org.uk/funding.htm
They represent a comprehensive guide to every aspect of developing and submitting external funding applications and have been devloped with our Diocese's involvement as part of the national good practice group.
