Giving by txt

The Diocese is pleased to offer Parishes the opportunity to raise funds through text giving, enabling them to accept donations from occasional visitors and passers by as well as members of the congregation.

By registering as a fundraiser with the Diocese on justgiving.com, parishes can obtain a text code which allows them to accept mobile phone donations from givers.

The full amount of all text donations will be passed to the parish and donors can also gift aid their donation to maximise their gift. In the first instance, the money is credited to the Diocese by justgiving and these funds are in turn transferred to the PCC.

Please note that any donations made directly on your justgiving page (by clicking the Donate Now button rather than sending a text) will incur a small charge by justgiving (see here for details).

Once a Parish is registered, they will be emailed a poster which shows the name of the Church and the text code. These can then be printed and displayed both inside and outside the Church.

Alternatively, the Diocese can provide printed and laminated posters for a nominal cost, with any cost deducted from the first donation received. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please email James South (james.south@norwich.anglican.org) for further details.

Once registered, we can customise this with your Church name and text code

Parishes which are registered with the Charity Commission and have their own charity registration number do not need to register as fundraisers through the Diocese on justgiving as they are able to register directly with justtextgiving for a free code by clicking here.

If you have any further queries regarding this, please email James South at Diocesan House.
