Back to Church Sunday - 30 September 2012
Back to Church Sunday is based on the simplest and shortest step in evangelism - that we should invite someone we already know to something we love; invite our friend to our church.
This year the materials are not dated so that churches can use a different date if they wish.
“I have wanted to come back for some time and this just gave me the nudge I needed.”
Success isn’t a percentage, a number, or a line on a graph. Success is one person inviting one person.

Archbishop calls Back to Church Sunday “essential”
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, says Back to Church Sunday is “essential”. In a speech to diocesan and denominational Back to Church Sunday champions at Lambeth Palace, the Archbishop said:“We have been in danger of forgetting just how much we still have in the ‘bank’, just how much… wish there is for connections to be made in the minds and hearts of a lot of people. What Back to Church Sunday has more than anything demonstrated is that you don’t have to dig too far to find that desire for connection.” The Archbishop's address is available at www.backtochurch.co.uk.
Support for Back to Church Sunday is available from the Mission Support Team.
