The Diocese of Norwich is working towards an integrated approach to ministerial development, which in its widest form seeks to enable, envision and empower the whole people of God for ministry. 

The particular way in which this is being worked out for the church’s licensed ministers in its Continuing Ministerial Education (CME) programme is by giving attention to the ministerial journey as a whole and offering support in a variety of ways. 

In this Diocese, CME is offered in three different ways:

1. For the first 3 years of ordained ministry (run by the Bishop’s Officer for Ordinands and Initial Training (BOOIT))

2. For readers (run by the CME Officer for Readers)

3. For 4+ years of ordained ministry (run by the Director of CME)
